Variable air volume (VAV) air-conditioning system is becoming the main steam of thewhole air conditioning system in china and abroad because of its large energy conversation. But VAV system has many control circle, and demands more holistic control, specially there ismany couplings among control circles, which affect the VAV system’s stability, so it is hard toput VAV system into application in china. And moreover the pressure control circle is the mostimportance key to the VAV system’s stability, and its controlling performance decides whetherthe system can work or not.Firstly this paper introduces control circles which VAV system needs. And then itparticularly introduces three variable pressure control methods (minimum pressure control,VVVP air volume control, total air volume control). It evaluates the three methods bycomparing and analyzing the three methods. And it chooses the minimum pressure controlmethod to be the best method on energy saving ability and controlling performance in thethree methods. This paper analyses the operation scheme of each part of VAV system, and establishes theSimulink models of the main part of VAV system. And then it use the Simulink models to builda VAV air-conditioning system emulational model. The hard-core of the emulational model isthe air Pipeline network model, and every part of the VAV system is connected by the airPipeline network model. It use the VAV air-conditioning system emulational model to simulate the running of aminimum pressure control emulational system of VAV air-conditioning in summer parameter. It can proves the validity of minimum pressure control to VAV system by analyzing the resultof simulation.
