Design And Implementation On Grounding Wire Alarm System Of Contact Net Based On GPRS

The operation of contact net is the key of the construction of information railway. Thecontact net is constructed to obtain electricity from traction substation that is transferred toelectric locomotive for use. Because the stoppage from contact net can directly affect theoperation of electric locomotive, so maintenance of contact net must be done well daily inorder to ensure contact net in good condition. The fundamental measures and means to ensurecontact net well daily is the rational use of ground wire.The grounding wire alarm system of contact net based on GTM900C module and GPRSnetwork is designed. It realizes the function that grounding wire which is hung or removedcan be monitored by staff of scheduling management center. It also manages the useinformation of grounding wire.First of all, this paper analyzes the common fault of grounding wire, the use ofconventional grounding wire and the latest development and research of power groundingwire. Then the design thought and framework of a new intelligent grounding wire alarmsystem of contact net is given. The technology characteristic of GPRS is described. Thedesign of software and hardware of the field device is realized according to the design thoughtand framework. At last, the elementary design of management information system ongrounding wire with the function that field operation can be monitored by staff of schedulingmanagement center is achieved. This paper simply introduces the function and use of themanagement software.According to the present situation of contact net ground wire used and managed, it isnecessary to design a new intelligent grounding wire alarm system for detection. The researchon new intelligent grounding wire alarm system is important and significant.
