The boiler is the heat exchanging device that used to generate steam. Inside of it, coal、oil orgas and other fuel combustion release large amounts of heat, at the same time the heat transfer towater by the heat transfer equipments,when the water reaches a certain temperature,it changeinto superheated steam,finally superheated steam supply in the industry directly or as therequired heat is used for production life. Gas boiler combustion system is difficult to controlrelatively,therefore the key issues in the field of energy and control is how to control thegas-fired boiler combustion,ensure boiler safety、economy、stable operation.This paper describes the gas boiler and combustion control system knowledges,and summsup the conventional PID control methods which the current combustion control system used toachieve automatic control.On this basis, thought the characteristics of a conventional gas boilerfor combustion control systems, identify the shortcomings of traditional PID automatic controlprograms.By combining new development features of digitization,networking and intelligent inthe current automatic control system,propose using intelligent control combining PID controlalgorithm in gas boiler combustion control system,improve the effectiveness of traditional PIDcontrol,to get better regulation of quality of the combustion control system、and further improvecombustion efficiency、achieve energy savings,have a certain academic value and economicbenefits.As to the controlling difficulties of gas boiler combustion control systems,that is the systemis a large time delay,multi-disturbance nonlinear combustion control system,the paper proposethe intelligent PID control algorithm to improve this difficulty. Intelligent PID control algorithminclude Fuzzy adaptive PID control,neural networks PID control and genetic algorithms PIDcontrol.This control algorithm is that intelligent control algorithms integrats of traditional PIDcontrol,the parameters of PID controller can be adjusted online automatically through intelligentcontrol algorithm,so that the PID controller can be adapt to the changing of controlled object inreal time,and no longer require the controlled object model accurate.This paper describes thedesign process of intelligent PID control algorithm,MATLAB as a simulation tool,threeintelligent PID control algorithm simulation respectively in MATLAB environment.Simulationresults show that intelligent PID control is better than the traditional PID control system.Therefore,this control scheme overcome the disadvantages of the conventional control algorithmin a way,achieve the gas boiler combustion optimal control.
