Recently, China has made great achievements in economic development. Standard ofliving of the residents received strong improvement. The current level of road developmentcan’t meet the increasing traffic demand, demand for passenger is reflected in the high speed,high security, low emissions, the demand for freight is reflected in the high speed, low cost. inaddition, There are many different characteristics of passenger vehicles. So, the mixedexisting roads can’t meet the needs of passenger and freight traffic. The separating trucks linefrom passenger vehicles of highway can solve this contradiction. The benefit of separatingtrucks line from passenger vehicles of highway has be realized. It has not been a lack ofplanning theory, The separating trucks line from passenger vehicles of highway can’t bereasonably promotion.Firstly, this paper describes the definition and connotation of separating trucks line frompassenger vehicles, and chooses the intercity highways corridor as the object of this study.Secondly, a detailed analysis of the pros and cons of the impact of aspects of separating trucksline from passenger vehicles have proposed, such as running speed, capacity, accident rates,emissions, construction and investments. Thirdly, a function mode programming model ofseparating trucks line from passenger vehicles based on efficiency has built. the modelbelongs to the problem of nonlinear multi-objective portfolio solutions, and discusses thesolution to the model. This paper introduces an evaluation function method and the shortestpath of graph theory to solving this paper model. Finally, the Shanghai-Hangzhou highwaycorridor as a case, used the paper model to plan separating trucks line from passenger vehiclesof this corridor. The case proved the feasibility of this model.This paper demonstrates the effectiveness of separating trucks line from passenger vehicles,the planning model for separating trucks line from passenger vehicles has proposed. Itprovides a theoretical support for separating trucks line from passenger vehicles developing. Itprovides a model approach for separating trucks line from passenger vehicles planning. Itprovides a scientific basis for separating trucks line from passenger vehicles implementing.
