Because of its short construction period and without barrier the shipping, immersed tubetunnel construction are more and more popular used in the cross-river and across sea projects.Construction of the immersed tube method developed rapidly in recent years, this method hasgradually taken seriously by engineering environment. Immersed tube sections joints areweak and critical position of immersed tube tunnel, in-depth study of the shear key issignificance in the segments joints, In the process of resistance shear force the committingshear force proportion of each shear key has not been studied, specifically clearing thecommitment ratio is helpful to design of immersed tube tunnel. Basing ontheHongKong-Zhuhai-Macao immersed tube tunnel engineering, this Paper discussed therelationship between stress and shear key foundation settlement and studied segmental jointshear commitment radio in the specific engineering background.The main contents of this Paper are as follows:1) Establishing the practical project size of the immersed tube engineering finite elementmodel simulates the four possible conditions, and determines the shear key force worstoperating condition in the meantime, the worst operating conditions will be the workingconditions in physical model test.2) Determining the physical model tests similarity ratio, similar criterion and testing thefeasibility of prefabricated shear bond program will be searched in Chapter three.3) The main contents are establishing a physical model test finite element model, itsnumerical results are comPared with the results of physical tests, and the result of comParisondemonstrates the reliability of the finite element model.4) The failure characteristics of shear keys are described and explained. The relationshipbetween stress and shear key foundation settlement is summarized. the chapter five alsodetermines the shear key commitment ratio.
