The steep slope pile foundation construction of bridge in mountain areas is affected bythe factors of larger terrain elevation difference, complicated geological conditions and theunreasonable construction. It is hard to avoid the occurrence of the engineering diseasesduring construction and affect the construction schedule directly, which also make a greathidden risk to construction engineering at the same time. There isn’t a standard of the steepslope pile foundation construction and protection technology in mountain areas at present,and also safety assessment system to the steep slope pile foundation construction. Therefore,it is necessary to carry out a further research on the safety assessment system during theconstruction of the steep slope pile foundation of bridge in mountain areas. The results of theresearch are as follows:(1) Based on the research of the security of the upper structure of the bridge and thesafety management of the construction, the basic principle of all kinds of evaluation methods,scope of application and its advantages and disadvantages were elaborated; a safetyevaluation method for the construction of the steep slope pile foundation of bridge was builtup.(2) All kinds of engineering diseases occurred during the construction of the pilefoundation were summarized and the causes were analyzed, which can provide a referencefor the selection of index of the evaluation model.(3) The safety evaluation index system and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model ofthe steep slope pile foundation of bridge during the construction was researched. Throughusing the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), the weight value of each index was calculated.By using fuzzy mathematics theory, the safety fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model wasconstructed.(4) Through calculating the safety fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, theevaluation result was consistent with the actual engineering site condition, which canconclude that this evaluation system was reasonable and feasible.(5) According to the result of evaluation and analysis of causes of the disease, the targeted prevention measures were put forwarded to ensure the construction progress and thesafety of construction personnel; a set of protection technology for the disease of the bridgepile foundation in a mountainous area was provided.This paper research on the one hand provided a kind of practical safety evaluationmethod for the construction of the steep slope pile foundation of bridge in mountain areas; onthe other hand, it provided reasonable and effective technical basis to the engineeringdiseases occurred during the construction to ensure the smooth, safe and efficient completionof the project. The research has a certain practical value and theoretical significance.
