Buckling Restrained Brace(BRB) is a kind of support form with good energydissipation,it can improve the shortcoming of the center brace,at the same time it is beneficialto its installing and standardized production. This paper is based on the existing research results,it mainly focuses on the all-steel BRBwith H section core by finite element analysis, and in this paper the parameters whichinfluence the stability of BRB are analyzed. These research results can provide some designsuggestions for the all-steel BRB with H section core.First, analyzing the stability of the all-steel BRB,and based on this, the limiting value ofrestraining ratio which keep the overall stability of all-steel BRB and the limit condition ofwidth-to-thickness ratio which keep the local stability of all-steel BRB are got.Second, using the finite element analysis software to analysis the all-steel BRB with Hsection core, the gap, restraining ratio and width-to-thickness ratio which influence the stabilityof the all-steel BRB are analyzed,at the same time, the reasonable design parameter values areput forward. Finally, through the SAP2000analysis software this paper carried out response spectrumanalysis and time history analysis to the pure steel frame, the center-braced frame as well asthe BRB steel frame, the top displacement and the top acceleration time curve of the threesteel frame under the frequent earthquake and the rare earthquake are given, through thesevalues this paper analyzes the differences of their seismic performance.
