Study On The Influence Of Fog On Expressway And Countermeasures

The development of freeway in our country,highway transportion plays a more and moreimportant role in passenger and freight transportion.But at the same time,the highway trafficaccident caused by rain and fog and other inclement weather also increased. According tostatistics,China’s traffic accidents caused by fog accounted for a total of expressway trafficaccidents from15%to25%. Fog disaster not only become a nuisance,traffic safety ofExpressway great harm,but also becomes the important factors restricting the development ofthe national economy and the normal social order. In2013the Department of transportation ofYunnan province science and technology key project-"the plateau climate and complex roadconditions under the coupling action of freeway dangerous road safety technology"researchfunding,from the monitoring and early warning of Expressway fog disaster mechanism,thesuper highway fog area traffic accident analysis,types and characteristics of fog area highwaytraffic safety control technology，expressway fog release effects of fog on the highway drivingand Counter measures of developing technology etc..Under this background,this paper focuses on highway sections in dense fog,basing onrelevant research at home and abroad,on the highway characteristics of fog,fog,fog disastercausing mechanism of quantified and classified，and the super highway fog area types ofaccidents and accident characteristics were analyzed in detail. On this basis,the visibility andtraffic flow index as the main control index,established a safe speed control method of foggysection,and the concrete implementation method of fog area highway speed limit ofcorresponding analysis and research. At the same time,this paper analyzes the selection of fogzone monitoring equipment,established a foggy road weather information monitoring systemand low visibility conditions,traffic guidance system,the multivariable informationboard,variable speed limit sign,line of sight guidance,broadcast and other possible means ofspeed control cloth and effective traffic organization etc.measures,linkage foggy section alarminformation and guidance measures released.
