Ascountries around the world attach great importance and input to the energy saving andenvironmental protection,the research and development of energy saving and environmentalprotection’s machinery and equipment has become one of key direction for technicalpersonnel. In construction machinery and port loading and unloading machinery,portal craneplays the leading role in the working process,however, it has the problem of wastingenergy.So it’s necessary to study the problem of the tower crane and portal crane’s energyconsumption and energy saving.Through the comparative analysis of tower crane and portal crane structure, workingprinciple, wasting energy’s form of appearance. It is concluded that the energy-savingresearch of tower crane can satisfy the requirement of portal crane energy-saving’s research.This article is mainly aimed at the problem that tower crane how to realize the energysaving.Firstly,forluffing mechanism, hoisting mechanism, slewing mechanism of towercrane, analysing vertical energy consumed in the process of working, getting conclusion thatthe tower crane of the loss of mechanical energy (kinetic energy and potential energy) iscaused the energy wasting. Secondly, according to the analysis conclusion, the basic principleof mechanical design and energy saving, balance mechanism, balance system, putting forwardto the design of transforming the concentration of tower crane.The characteristics of theintermittent energy storage conversion agency is that construction material or goods fallingduring the period of time which makes energy storage and applies in ascension. Closed thebalance of energy and power system working characteristics that the working organs to slowdown and waste of energy which can be converted to other energy storage finally and it canbe used in the boot process. The portal crane balance agency, working characteristics that themoving arm around the pedestal amplitude without energy consumption.Through some methods of research on the dynamics and structure, a preliminaryconclusion scheme in the work of engineering is not only beneficial to the output andapplication of energy storage, but more convenient, at the same time, it is concluded that theenergy saving effect is related to its structure and related parameters of each scheme.Finally, the paper applied ADMAS simulation software,through the simulation analysis, weconcluded that the design scheme of energy-saving efficiency reached32%, achieved theeffect of energy saving, however calculating the energy saving efficiency is50%, basing onthe analysis of the causes of error between, we obtained the hybrid transmission and geartransmission efficiency is about87%. Finally, we concluded that this design scheme isfeasible.
