In modern construction, wheel loader is an indispensable equipment, which plays animportant role in the road construction and water conservancy engineering. Drive axle as themain power transmission components of the wheel loader, on the one hand, to support the load ofwheel loader, on the other hand, to transfer the power from the power transmission system tothe wheels, which can make the wheel loader work smoothly and drive safely. As a result, theperformance of the drive axle directly affects the dynamic and security of the loader. This article mainly aims at the drive axle of ZL80wheel loader. To make the research ofthe structural design and performance analysis on it. Firstly, combination actual workingcondition and using environment of the loader, finished structural parametric design of thedrive axle so that the new drive axle structure more compact and efficient.Secondly, the designed drive axle are made3d parametric modeling and Kinematicalsimulation by the Pro/E software to get accurate drive axle model, make the whole designvisualized and the overall structure clear. Besides, it’s advantageous for the subsequentprocessing production. Motion simulation simulates the working process in the maintransmission parts of the drive axle really, observes whether produce interferencephenomenon, validate the rationality of the design. At last, the finite element model of wheel reductor is built in the ANSYS software andmade the statics analysis. Aiming at the connection of different parts of the wheel reductor, establish proper decoupling collection or contact, so that to reflect the process of stresstransfer in wheel reductor truly. The load of typical working conditions are determined andanalyzed. It’s a study of Mechanical characteristics, which can help us to master thedisplacement and stress distribution of the whole.
