Ground fissure is a typical geological disaster. Ground fissure are well developed andwidely distributed in China, which poses a potential threat to the present China’s large~scalehigh~speed railway construction. There are21ground fissures with a certain scale along theDatong~Xi`an Railway Passenger Dedicated Line which go through Taiyuan, Linfen andYuncheng Basins and36intersections with Datong~Xi`an passenger dedicated lines. Theseground fissures are strong active now, which will bring serious security hidden danger tohigh~speed railway (Datong~Xi`an passenger dedicated lines) under construction. Therefore, to study the effect of active ground fissures on High Speed Railway has a veryimportant theoretical significance and engineering practical value. With numerical simulation of FEM, the numerical analysis model is established. Thenumerical simulation of the model test of high-speed railway subgrade going through activeground fissures with several angle respectively were carried. The Deformation and failure ofstructural and geotechnical from displacement, internal forces and macroscopic deformationwere analysed, the high-speed railway subgrade deformation and failure characteristics underthe action of the ground fissure movement was disclosed, and the scope of influence ofhigh-speed railway subgrade was determined. And compared with the model test resultsobtained, as a model test optimization and supplement, which shows the results are consistent.Model test and numerical simulation results provide scientific theoretical guidance anddesign basis for the design, construction and safe operation of the Datong~Xi`an RailwayPassenger Dedicated Line and followed other lines of similar projects. Meanwhile, the testresults can be presented as the reference for railway and highway construction in activeground fissures areas.
