Regional Research In Small Town Square Planning Design

With the rapid development of China’s urbanization, small towns change rapidly. However,similar development mode and the single cultural value orientation of regional culture in theconstruction of small towns gradually decline and even extinction.The square was known asthe "city living room","city card", while maintaining the characteristics of small towns,developing regional culture,the square plays an important role, but today the construction ofour small town square is not just as one wishes.How to protect and develop its localization inthe design and how to show it has become one of the important topics of the small townsquare faced. Based on the discuss of small town square in Guanzhong area,the paper try toexplore the way of regional expression in the design of small town.This paper,not only in theory, but also based on specific area, to make the thoroughresearch in view of its special geographical characteristics.First of all, through the design ofits own characteristics of small town square, and explains the related theories of regional, thepaper sum up the methods and approaches of regional factors in the small town squaredesign;Secondly, the paper status quo of the study of its square, mining the characteristics ofits natural environment and social cultural geographical elements, clear-out many regionalfactors which should considered in design of square.Finally, based on previous research, theauthor puts forward the countermeasures and ways of expression of regional small townsquare planning and design of Guanzhong area, and selects two examples as evidences.it provides a way of solve the problem which is the phenomenon of "convergence" in smalltown square by integrate geographical elements into the planning and design,The paperprovide a reference for the similar urban square construction in other areas of china.
