Because the concrete has the advantages of low cost, durable and wide variety ofsources,it is widely used in various fields of civil engineering and concrete structure hasbecome the most widely used structure form in the present construction. With the agingof concrete structure and deterioration of environmental pollution, the project life will notmeet the design requirements because of the lack of durability of concrete structure. Moreand more scholars at home and abroad has concerned on durability of concrete structure.Based on the research of the durability of concrete, the paper studies the characteristicsof stirrup corrosion and degradation law of member properties of bearing.The main research work and achievement are:(1) Regular inspecting the corrosion current density of the stirrup in the components.Removing the bar from concrete members and cleaning rust after3momths. Calculatingthe rate of corrosion and observing of stirrup corrosion. The corrosion situation of the lap ofstirrups and longitudinal reinforcement is obvious.Counting the rust pit on lap joint andcalculating the distribution of rust pit.(2) In the natural condition, studying the effect of anti stirrup corrosion rate on shearcapacity of reinforced concrete beam with12simply supported reinforced concretebeam.Testing the shear bearing capacity of beams after3months. Through the analysis of thedata,obtaining the relationship between the reduction factors of bearing capacity of beamand rate of stirrup corrosion. Observing the strain of stirrup and the development of inclinedcracks with different rate of stirrup corrosion.(3) Reinforced concrete columns rust in the natural condition.Studying the influenceof stirrup corrosion rate on ultimate compressive bearing capacity of member with20column.In the course of the experiment,we will find the effect on the bearing capacity of member isdifferent with different stirrup ratio condition.At the same time, we study the varity ofconfined concrete stress and strain curve with different rate of stirrup corrosion.This paper mainly analys the characteristics of stirrup corrosion and degradation law ofmember properties of bearing through three experiments. The result of this paper can providea theoretical experimental basis for concrete durability.
