Power equipment vibration and shock resistance affect the ship’s own battleeffectiveness and vitality. Therefore, the vibration and impact resistance ability of theequipment is the focus in the field of ship impact resistant and its research significance isself-evident.As a composed of multiple objects of the connection through the complex mechanicalsystem, Diesel engine needs for a simplified and practical structure dynamic model ofimpact resistance for the analysis. Combined with the existing research literature, test data,impact resistant ship equipment in domestic and foreign standards and the characteristics ofdiesel engine, it is suitable for using multi-body dynamics modeling method in this paper.And it studied the shock response characteristics under the condition of vibration isolationby parts modeling, motion simulation and exert impact load.Using the method of the coupled dynamic analysis of mechanical system, thecomponents of the rigid body displacement and elastic deformation of the nonlinearcoupling as well as a variety of mechanical constraint is introduced into the systemdynamics model, and obtaining the diesel engine with elastic support in any instantaneousdynamic response under impact load is the forming characteristic in this paper.This article mainly includes the following aspects: First, by means ofthree-dimensional modeling software UG, the physical model of a certain marine dieselengine was established, including the engine body, the main moving parts and the gasdistribution mechanism. Through the flexible treatment by MSC.Patran and ADAMS, thecrank, the connecting rod and the typical parts of the gas distribution mechanism wereturned into the flexible body, which forming a multi body hybrid model with both rigid andflexible parts. Second, a vibration-impact model of the marine diesel engine wasestablished, and it focus on the effects of vibration parameters on the impact responses ofthe system namely the transient acceleration and maximum displacement, which can besimulated as the actual responses of diesel engine under the explode loads outside the ship.Third, using the movement simulation, we obtained the diesel engine’s key componentsshock response stress nephogram and maximum stress point and dangerous pointlocation.According to the main components of response cloud,it can be summed up theimpact of the weak link diesel engine. Fourth, by comparing the experiment and simulation data method, the accuracy of the simulation method is verified within a certain error range.Paper finally points out that using the method of combining physical model testsimulation, we can more deeply understand the shock response and possible damage ofship equipment, and thus can target to improve the shock resistance of ship equipment.
