Based on the straight tooth bevel gear tooth surface modification installation errorsensitivity analysis as the research object, on the basis of plane gear generating methodand meshing theory the straight tooth bevel gear tooth surface modification gear toothsurface equation and the corresponding program is established. TCA and static contactfinite element of the ideal and installation error modification tooth surface straight bevelgear is analyzed. The paper main research content is as follows.1Geometry parameters of straight bevel gear is designed, the modificationmethods of tooth axial and tooth profile is conducted and tooth surface program such asno modification, tooth axial modification, tooth profile modification and comprehensivemodification is established. On this basis tooth pastry of straight bevel gear is workedout.2The modification tooth surface coordinate system of containing axialmisalignment error, separation axis error, shaft angle change error straight bevel gear isestablished. Installation errors sensitivity analysis of the straight bevel gear modificationtooth surface is conducted, Gauss curvature of different surface is put forward, meshpoint Gauss curvature is calculated. By optimal design of tooth surface installation errorsensitivity, tooth surface of low installation error sensitivity is got.3The theoretical basis of the finite element software is introduced, the finiteelement nodes, unit model of ideal and installation error straight bevel gear modificationtooth surface is wrote,APDL language command flow program of straight bevel gearmodification tooth surface process such as three-dimensional finite element model,automatic meshing, creating contact pair, applying the boundary conditions is wrote.Then by the finite element software straight tooth bevel gear modification tooth surface contact analysis of ideal and installation error is conducted. And the correctness of thetheory is verified.4Three dimensional precision model of straight bevel gear modification toothsurface is conducted. Adopting the fixed shaft surface contour milling of UG simulationprocessing way for straight bevel gear and pinion tooth surface finish machiningsimulation processing is conducted. By building own post-processing the fanuc systemof NC machine program is generated, so that machine is able to identify in theexperimental process.To use four axis vertical linkage of FA-3225H CNC gantrymilling machine for straight bevel gear and pinion experiment is laid a solid foundationfor manufacturing.5With four axis vertical linkage FA-3225H CNC gantry milling machine forstraight bevel gear and modification pinion tooth surface finishing is conducted. Doingthe rolling experiment of the modification straight bevel gear with meeting theinstallation distance and different installation errors by Y9550rolling inspectionmachine. Contact area can be obtained through the experiment analysis of modificationstraight bevel pinion installation errors is not sensitive. The validity of the theoreticalresearch is verified.
