Compared with the involute straight bevel gear and the other gear, bearing ability is stronger and more stable operation, in the industrial production occupies a large proportion, widely used in the industrial drive equipment, differential for vehicles, locomotives, ships, power plants, steel mills, railway track detection etc., gear in meshing process, between the tooth will have some impact, resulting in noise, with the increasing time teeth will have a great degree of wear and tear, not only in economy caused material waste, and affects the precision of the gear transmission, reduce work performance. So how to reduce the noise and vibration of the gear transmission process, and prolong the service life of the gear is very important. At present, by using the finite element analysis software, the research scholars in China and abroad analysis parameters of gear modification, and get the specific impact of the parameters in the study. Thus the finite element analysis is an important tool in gear modification.In this paper, combined with the commonly used gear modification method, from tooth repair tooth shape and to the modification of two aspects of involute straight bevel gear comprehensive modification, tooth profile modification can reduce the gear stress and reduces the noise of gear meshing, tooth shape to the repair is used to compensate and improve along the tooth to the contact line load uneven phenomenon, gear transmission more smoothly and reduce the partial load. In the modification curve of choice, not a separate modification curve, but the method of combining with line modification and Walker, intends to synthesize a novel modification curve, in order to enhance the modification effect. In view of the involute straight tooth bevel gear structure is relatively complex, modeling has a certain degree of difficulty, with 3D modeling software Pro/E, using parametric modeling of modification of gear modeling process, this method convenient, by changing the input parameters can be needed to generate the parameters related to the gear, In the analysis of the gear processing aspect, carries on the simulation analysis using ANSYS workbench 15.0. To test the modification gear transmission in the process of contact stress and the characteristics, in order to verify the correctness and reliability of the method in this paper. Through the simulation analysis is relatively concentrated modification method, linear-Walker comprehensive repair effect best, can effectively reduce the maximum contact stress, tooth surface stress distribution more uniform and improves the contact stress of the tooth surface, have certain help to the smooth working of the gear.Using the simulation analysis software can intuitively test modification effect, but also greatly reduce the manual calculation time, improve work efficiency.
