Engineering technology of recycled aggregate concrete, the waste concreteand other building materials, crushing processing, made of coarse and fineaggregate, and then used in the production of concrete technology, it not onlycan solve the abandoned concrete construction waste on the environmentpollution, mining use can save the natural aggregate mineral resourcesdevelopment, to avoid excessive loss of natural mineral resources, and caneffectively alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand ofaggregate, social, economic and environmental benefits. This paper involvedsome investigations into the property of recycled aggregate concrete, whichinclude the following aspects.(1) To investigate the recycled coarse aggregate production process and itsphysical characteristics.Recycled coarse aggregate is the crucial factor which determines theperformance difference between recycled aggregate-and ordinary concretes.The production process and physical characteristics of recycled coarseaggregate were elaborated. Besides, the influence of recycled coarseaggregate on the performance of concrete was investigated.(2) Several common water-cement ratios from0.35to0.65were adoptedfor both recycled aggregate-and ordinary concretes. A series of tests wereperformed to investigate the difference in concrete work performance,strength and durability. For the determination of durability, water-resistantpermeability test, frozen test (quick freezing method), resistance tochloride ion penetration test (electric flux method), carbonation test (28d),shrinkage test. The influence of recycled aggregate on concrete performancewas hence discussed.(3) Different recycled aggregate replacement ratio (0%,25%,50%,75%,100%) were adopted to investigate the influence of aggregate replacementratio on work performance, strength and durability of concrete. From the test results, some suggestions were made for practical application of recycledaggregate concrete.(4) Practical application of recycled aggregate concrete.
