Research On Dramatic Concept Of The Urban Landscape Creation Of Lawrence Halprin

In this paper, the author took the famous American landscape architectLawrence Halprin as the research object, started with the historical background helived and his life experience, used the methods of explanatory history research,cross-disciplines, case analysis, literature review etc, built up the relationshipbetween landscape design and the dramatic arts, with which the author analyzedmany excellent landscape works of Halprin. The commonness and characteristicswere concluded. One of the unique feature of Halprin’s city landscape space,dramatic creation concept, was obtained. It can be acquired references to solverange of issues in the urbanization progress of modern cities from this concept so ithas a certain guiding significance.The paper summarized the concept of dramatic creation from three differentpoints of view, dance art, psychology and aesthetics. The main cause of dramaticcreation concept was obtained from Halprin’s historical background and his lifeexperience.
