At present,the pollution of urban rivers is serious,and the ecological landscape system of urban waterfront is fragmented.The traditional rigid urban revetment design and simple lawn combination are not only lack of aesthetic feeling,but also fail to show the cultural heritage and ecological charm of a city,and fail to play the role of urban waterfront to create a habitat and improve the ecological environment.Based on the analysis of urban river ecological restoration research and the design concept of landscape planning,this paper establishes the ecological module of urban waterfront,which is composed of Ecological Restoration Technology(ecological wetland engineering,ecological bank protection engineering,non-point source control engineering)and "point,line,surface and body" elements in landscape design.Based on the urban development strategy and overall planning of Xingyang City,this paper analyzes the background data of social economy,river system,water ecology and water landscape in the region,and under the guidance of ecological water conservancy engineering,landscape ecology,hydraulic aesthetics and other theories,makes clear the planning and design principles,design objectives and design positioning,to realize the ecological self restoration of Suohe River in Xingyang City.
