The ultrasonic motor is a new type of friction drive motor, which uses an inversepiezoelectric effect of the piezoelectric ceramic, the surface of the stator generatingelliptical dot ultrasonic vibration in the frequency domain, the driving rotor is rotated byfrictional contact of the rotor and the stator. Compared with traditional electromagneticmotor, it has a simple structure, high positioning accuracy, fast response, withoutdeceleration devices can be driven directly from magnetic interference, such as a seriesof advantages. In many areas of aerospace, ultrasonic motor attracted widespreadattention with its unique advantages.One of the important elements of friction material for ultrasonic motor, itsperformance will directly affect the mechanical properties of ultrasonic motor and life.The subject of a variety of polymer materials as the matrix of friction materialformulations designed and studied the effects of several filling materials on themechanical properties of the friction material and motor performance, in order to producehigh performance ultrasonic motor with friction material. Impacts, in order to producehigh performance ultrasonic motor with friction material. Content and major researchfindings summarized as follows:In order to obtain a higher stall torque and is capable of stable operation of frictionmaterials for the purpose of the matrix material formulations designed to study thedifferent levels of polystyrene, polyether ether ketone for motor stall torque, load speed,interface conversion efficiency, thermal conductivity, and the impact of mechanical andtribological properties.
