Rotor angular position requires to be detected real-timely, in order to obtain theprecise position information in the servo system. As position sensor, variablereluctance resolver, which has significant characteristics of simple structure, easymanufacture, strong reliability and anti-interference ability, is widely used inaerospace, automotive, industrial and other fields, and has good prospects fordevelopment.Salient-rotor radial reluctance resolver has the characteristic of brushless,manufactur simple and safe to use, but the winding structure and salient-rotor designresult in a larger content of high harmonic in gap permeance. The accuracy is fade towound-rotor resolver in same size。Structure design and harmonic analysis areconducted in view of the accuracy of salient-rotor radial reluctance resolver。Firstly, the structure and principle of the traditional salient-rotor radialreluctance resolver are introduced and analyzed, and the structure characteristics andwork principle of the salient-rotor radial reluctance resolver with sinusoidaldistributed winding is studied. The effect of winding design and tooth numberselection on output signal are introduced in detail, and validates that usingsinusoidal winding could eliminate higher harmonic through the analytical method.Secondly, Finite element method (FEM) is adopted to the structureoptimization of conventional reluctance resolver with centralized equal turnswinding. The impact of different structural parameters on the output voltage andharmonic content is analyzed, and the general law of structural optimization designis achieved. After that, the accuracy of this kind structure resolver is explored byexperiments.Thirdly, The output waveform of radial reluctance resolver with sinusoidaldistributed winding and equal turns winding is comparative analyzed by FEM. Theharmonic content and accuracy is compared, and the fact that sinusoidal winding caneliminate harmonic effectively to improve the precision is proved. Then matchingrelationship between the stator teeth and rotor pole pairs in this reluctance resolveris discussed and concluded, as well as the direction of the signal winding woundimpacts on role pair number. Experimental measurements is performed on theprototype, the results is studied and analyzed.Finally, a new dual-channel radial reluctance resolver with total magneticcoupling of coarse and accurate is put forward. The structure, basic principle andadvantages of this kind of the resolver is stated, and the effectiveness andfeasibility of decoupling has been verified. The influence of the accurate machine role pairs number, rotor coefficient ratio, salient superposition angle on harmonicamplitude of the EMF of signal windings is studied by the method of FEM. Theoutput waveform is optimized to achieve the purpose that both provide the absoluterotor position information and improve the accuracy of the output.
