In recent years, with the aggravating of energy crisis and people’s environmental protection consciousness, Natural gas industry has been developing rapidly in the worldwide. Compressed Natural Gas (referred to CNG) is developing rapidly as a kind of vehicle fuel. The annual average growth rate is about22%. Since2002, the global natural gas cars are increasing with an annual average growth rate of22.9%. As the vehicle fuel, CNG has the advantage of safe, economic, energy saving, environmental protection, Can effectively improve the urban atmospheric environment. As the infrastructure necessary of CNG vehicles, CNG refueling stations have been developing rapidly across the country.In this paper, for all types of CNG refueling stations and technological process made a detailed presentation, described its applications and scope. Made a thorough analysis of the three commonly used for domestic compressors. From the station costs and operating costs made an economic and technical comparison, pointing out that the hydraulic piston compressor economy in terms of safety or environmental protection energy conservation are a competitive advantage. Three gas storage facilities in the CNG refueling stations were simulated. The factors affecting the volume utilization of the gas storage wells were analyzed. Pointed out that an appropriate increase in the proportion of low-pressure of the gas storage wells will help improve its volume utilization. To improve the volume utilization of the gas storage wells provides a theoretical basis. Established the model of refueling time, calculated the average gas flow and refueling time through the draft damper. Shown the factors that affecting the average gas flow and aerated time. Effect of the rear portion diameter and length of draft damper on the flow rate is relatively large, but is smaller on the front part of the draft damper. To choose a reasonable tube diameter, length and other parameters provides a reference. According to the compressor is directly to the vehicle gas supply or not, analyzed the work process of CNG refueling stations and drawn an operating timing chart for it. Also, pointed out that simply increasing the number of filling nozzles can’t effectively improve the refueling efficiency of the stations.Using the basic principles of queuing theory, established an optimization model of filling nozzles number. Pointed out that two main factors affecting the number of filling nozzles. More number of vehicles reached per unit time, more filling nozzles should be configured; longer the average refueling time is, more filling nozzles should be configured. Meanwhile, according to the measured data made the error analysis of the model. The error between measured data and calculated data is less than10%. Proved the model is correct and feasible. Provided a new idea for determine the number of filling nozzles.
