Electro-hydraulic proportional valve is the core of the electro-hydraulicproportional control technology. Huade Hydraulic is developing U type throttleproportional directional valve of new products of various flow. In this paper, Inorder to meet the needs of enterprises, a U type throttle proportional directionalvalve is designed.This paper contains the following aspect. Firstly, a lot of literature isreviewed, such as flow area computation of various shapes valve mouth, flowcoefficient test, and simulation by CFD method.Then, the following designs are completed: the design of flow, the design ofproportional electromagnet type selection, and the design of proportionalamplifier.The structure model and fluid model is established by using the finiteelement software Adina. Fluid-structure interactio. The strength of the valvebody and valve core material is verified and the requirement of the main designindex is achieved. The rationality of the design of flow and the fitting clearanceof valve body and valve core are also verified. The flow field characteristics indifferent pressure are obtained through the analysis of the stress nephogram andthe velocity vector diagram. The positions of the cavitation and noise arediscovered.The actual test with experimental equipment vrifies the rationality of thedesign of flow, showing that the hysteresis indicators meet the designrequirementsThis research solves the problem of flow design of U type throttleproportional directional valve, laying the foundation for successful development of U type throttle proportional directional valve. In addition, strength check issimplified in this method using ADINA software simulation instead of strengthcheck calculation.
