SBS Modified Asphalt Emulsion Performance And Engineering Application

At present, the SBR latex which used in our country high temperatureperformance is poor, and dependent on imports. SBS has excellent hightemperature performance, and our country already has a mature industrialto product the thermoplastic SBS. As the amount of road maintenance tasksincreasing, it is not conducive to long-term dependence on importedmaterials the healthy development of road maintenance, therefore, it isnecessary to use domestic SBS as a modifier to produce a modified asphaltemulsion.In this paper, we summarize a set of SBS modified asphalt emulsionapplied technology through theoretical analysis and experimentalresearch. And apply this technique to Thin Overlay Preventive Maintenance.Application of this technology can improve quality, change the situationof development of domestic road preventive maintenance techniques byimport, and formed its own core technology gradually. This satisfies ourlong-term needs for road maintenance. The main contents are as follows:1. The preparation techniques for make modified asphalt emulsified:Research for SBS and additives suitable mixing amount, and analysis ofthe impact on the key indicators of different mixing amount of modifiedasphalt emulsified.2. Modified asphalt emulsion technology: Analysis of the emulsionmechanism, through emulsified viscosity-temperature curve to determinethe suitability of the modified asphaltemulsified suitable temperature,select the appropriate fast crack emulsifier, introduced process,presents some of the equipment requirements.3. SBS modified asphalt emulsion product performance analysis: Thetest items were introduced, SBR modified asphalt emulsion with acomparative analysis, SBS modified bitumen emulsion can be both high andlow temperature performance, ultra-thin overlay applied to construction,from the cut impermeability test and test of view, the performance was improved.4. Thin Overlay Construction in engineering applications: forengineering application examples, summarizes the application andeconomic situation.
