It is an important way to make automobiles light weight by using high strength steelsheet. The tensile strength and yield strength of high strength steel sheet is high, so it isdifficult to form in the process of the cold-forming and it can result in many drawbackssuch as crazes. There is fierce competition in automobile industry, hot stamping moldingprocess makes it is possible to bring about the light weight of the car body andeasy-forming of the high strength steel sheet. Hot stamping molding process is aprocessing method that die move quickly to finish the process of stamping and eventuallythe workpiece is made. The process is based on the fact that metal has higher plasticityand ductility and low yield strength in the condition of high temperature. Compared withcold stamping, the plate of hot stamping molding process has some advantages such ashigh plasticity, easy-forming and high forming limit. At present, hot stamping moldingprocess has been the main technology which is used to product the auto parts with highstrength and light weight by the famous car manufacturer in the world while thetechnology is studied slightly in the country. So it is meaningful to study the hot stampingmolding process of the high strength steel sheet.In the text,22MnB5is a kind of high strength steel, it can improve its property by thehot stamping molding process. Firstly, we choose the ordinary steel sheet and highstrength steel sheet with the same thickness to have the crash test simulation, the safetyperformance of high strength steel can be verified by the results of the deformation; Wechoose a series of high strength steel with different thickness to have crash test simulationand by comparing the reshlts of deformation with the ordinary steel’s, the lightweightproperty of the high strength steel is verified. Secondly, four key factors of the hotstamping molding process are simulated and the impact of initial temperature of metalsheet, die temperature, friction coefficient and stamping velocity on the regularities ofthe temperature filed and stress field on the sheet is studied. Thirdly, we study the time ofthorough transformation of the martensite in the condition of the specific initialtemperature of metal sheet and the special stamping velocity and determine the finialsolution, the regularity is summarized and it can be used to guide the practice of production.
