In order to satisfy the trend of automobile intelligence and electronic, the numberof electronic equipment of vechiles has increased a lot. As the bundles connectingvarious electronic equipmnets, these equipments play an importent role in forming ancable bundles internet. But with the increasing number of electronic equipment ofvechiles, electromagnetic environment in the vechiles are deteriorating rapidly.Meanwhlie, overmany cable bundles aggravate the electromagnetic interference andlead to vechile electromagnetic compatibility more serious. So, for ensuring thevechiles’ reliability and safety, a reliable cable bundles model should be built which canforcast vechile electromagnetic compatibility. Therefore, harness modeling has becomean important theoretical research and engineering value. In (No.50877081) and theNational Natural Science Foundation of China "Automotive Electrical SystemElectromagnetic Compatibility "(No. CSTC,2006BA6015) Chongqing MunicipalNatural Science Foundation-funded project focused on " Automotive EMC predictionand electromagnetic interference suppression key technologies" next. This paperfocuses on the study of automotive wiring harness EMC simulation modeling andexperimental validation of the feasibility of using the model. In the research, theintegrated use of the basics EMC technology, circuit theory and electromagnetic theoryand test methods for automotive wiring harness problems in the modeling process wereanalyzed.The main contents of this paper are described below:①Based on Maxwell equations, the multi-conductor transmission line equation isderived with exposition of inductance, capacitance matrixs’ physical meaning. Andmulti-conductor transmission line equation is the basis for derivating inductance andcapacitance per unit length matrixs’ analytical and numerical solutions. Based on theabove, this paper proposes the equivalent impedance formula in the multi-conductortransmission line.②This paper proposes an arbitrary impedance’s weighted average algorithm tosolve the multi-value problems of bundle ends impedance’s frequency dependent forbundle’s classification. Then, it derived specific formulas of Smith chart to exlplain thephysical meaning and usage of the Smith chart and put arbitrary impedance withinductance and capacitance in terminal into the Smith chart. All these lay the foundation of the specific classification of cable bundles. This paper also puts forward to cablebundles’ principle of equivalence and equivalent methods, establishes equivalent modelof cable bundles, discusses parameter calculation method as well.③First, experimental verification HFSS software for simulation ofelectromagnetic radiation sensitivity of effectiveness. Experiments to establish theactual composition of four wire harness, the value of the induced current comparativeexperiment and simulation. After that, the four kinds of elaborate harness equivalentmethods were established four kinds of equivalent models. According to thecharacteristics of the Smith chart, the harness and wire harness terminal impedanceequivalent impedance contrast, in order to determine any impedance Smith chart of thespecific location, respectively, using four kinds of classification methods harnessclassification. The first three classification methods can be divided into up to fourgroups harness the first four kinds of methods can be classified into the harness up to16groups of equivalent methods. Comparing the merits of four kinds of wires weresimplified method, draw four kinds of targeted equivalent methods, and use of therange.④To circuit theory, common mode impedance results obtained with the methodof differential mode impedance. Current and voltage sources for the end portion of theequivalent processing. Introducing crosstalk and electromagnetic excitation radiationsimulation model, the simulation model is to establish the harness, the wires can besimplified and the classification.
