Evaporative air conditioning terminology standardization reflects direct evaporative air conditioning technology directly, in relation to the evaporative air conditioning equipment quality and the service life, and the industry development as a whole, but our country is still not complete, system of evaporative air conditioning terminology standards. Evaporative air conditioning terminology chaos phenomenon, and nonstandard use of phenomenon happens again and again, this is a concept that is not exactly naming, which takes great effort to coordinate unified. The paper as a starting point, studies some problems of the evaporative air conditioning terminology standards.Classification is the foundation of the research and application, but also the important contents of the study. To establish a scientific and reasonable classification method, has an important meaning in the research and the development of evaporative air conditioning technology. Therefore, the evaporative air conditioning terminology standard classification is studied firstly, and then introduced the evaporative air conditioning technology classification framework, and system and equipment, and the corresponding terms are defined.In addition, through the study of the evaporative air conditioning technology climate division standard, pointed out the wet bulb temperature is saturated degree of a metric, is an independent air state parameters, is the evidence to judge the nature for the climate of "dry" and "wet" partition. And through the analysis of evaporative cooling indoor thermal comfort zone, put forward" extended thermal comfort zone", and is different form the traditional mechanical refrigeration indoor air temperature is between22℃~28℃, relative humidity at40%~65%, flow rate does not exceed0.3m/s thermal comfort range, extended thermal comfort zone is defined when the air temperature, relative humidity increasing beyond this range, the indoor air temperature at28℃~32℃, relative humidity at70%~90%, improve the speed of air flow, so that in the1.0m/s~1.2m/s, also can make the human body get thermal comfort, human feeling is still satisfied."Gas desiccant", which is a kind of special, dry air, the air through mixing the wet air, to achieve the purpose of dehumidification.At the same time through the compressed air gas desiccant, the dehumidified air and evaporative cooling technology are combined and applied in air conditioning, greatly improving the efficiency of evaporative cooling. In addition, in China’s northwest dry region atmosphere in the presence of an after nature dehumidified natural dry air--dry air, we can make full use of the gas desiccant, directly into the building to eliminate indoor humidity load, reduce artificial refrigeration dehumidifying energy consumption, at the same time, make full use of "dry air energy reach as far as possible the use of evaporative cooling natural cold source for cooling effect, thereby achieving the aim of low energy consumption in building.Secondly, analysis some terms in standard of the evaporative cooler, introduces the direct evaporative cooler and indirect evaporative cooler, the direct evaporative cooler with filler performance evaluation indexes are described. Analysis the application forms of the working air (secondary air):(1) in drenching water in the working air (secondary air) channel of indirect evaporative cooler;(2) the indirect evaporative cooler working air (secondary air) channel is not drenching water, and described the four forms of the working air (secondary air).And introduce some other terms.Compared with the concept of water drenching density and water-gas water gas-water ratio, explores the relationship among the three. According to the direct、indirect evaporative cooling, water drenching density is different, water drenching density is generally used to evaluate the effect of heat transfer for drip padding direct evaporative cooling, water-gas ratio is generally used to evaluate the water spraying direct evaporative cooling, and gas-water ratio is often mentioned in the evaporative water chiller unit. According to the different influence of how much water spray quantity to direct evaporative cooling efficiency, water drenching density is different with water-gas ratio, according to the processed object is different, water-gas ratio and gas-water ratio are also different. And put forward "sub-wet bulb temperature" concept, namely below the wet bulb temperature, close to the dew point temperature, through the some combination form of direct and indirect evaporative air conditioning technology, realizes the sub-wet bulb temperature.According to water evaporative principle, evaporative cooling technology is the technology for getting product air or product water. Introduced the four kinds of equipment, which is used of the air side (cold-air type)of evaporative air conditioning technologyin the preparation of product air, namely direct evaporative air conditioning units; indirect evaporative air conditioning units; indirect-direct evaporative air conditioning units; evaporative cooling-mechanical refrigeration air conditioning units, and is used of the water side(cold-water type) of evaporative air conditioning technologyin the preparation of product water, namely direct evaporative cooling water chiller units; indirect evaporative cooling water chiller units; indirect-direct evaporative cooling water chiller units; evaporative cooling-mechanical refrigeration water chiller units. Through the correct interpretation of terms and equipment introduced, make everyone study correctly the air side(cold-air type) of evaporative air conditioning technologyand water side(cold-water type) of evaporative air conditioning technology, and hope everyone can be more standard popularize the use of the technology.Finally, introduce the wet bulb efficiency and dew point efficiency, points out that this wet bulb efficiency concept can be used for evaluation of direct evaporative cooler cooling efficiency and can also be used for the evaluation of indirect evaporative cooler cooling efficiency, clears the usage of the wet bulb efficiency. In addition, discusses the approach(wet bulb temperature)、approach(dew point temperature)and cooling range, approach(wet bulb temperature) refers to the difference between the outlet water temperature and environment wet bulb temperature of the cooling tower or direct evaporative water chillers units; approach(dew point temperature)refers to the difference between the outlet water temperature and environment dew point temperature of the indirect-direct evaporative water chillers units; and the cooling range refers to the difference between the inlet and outlet water temperature of cooling tower or evaporative water chiller units...
