This paper talks about the coordinated drive torque control method for an electric vehicle withfour in-wheel motors. First, the electric differential technology was discussed for the motorizedEV, and the motor control principle was presented at the same time. According to the actual outputof the motor, three control methods was talked, the motor speed control mode, torque controlmode and power control mode. Motor control method should meet the basic speed requirement, meanwhile, it has the potential to adjust the vehicle driving dynamic. Analysis of the drivingwheel anti-slip technology, build a driving wheel anti-slip controller based on the fuzzy logictechnology.Discussed the torque distribution strategy of four motorized driveing wheel, and the influence ofyaw rate and sideslip angle to the vehicle stability. Stratified driving torque distribution methodwas presented, the three torque control levels are yaw moment generation layer, yaw momentdistribute layer and traction control layer. The fuzzy logic control method was used in the yawmoment generate layer. The torque distribution between the four wheels will impact the vehicleyaw moment. And the yaw moment generating efficiency of the distribution method was analyzedemphasized. The software Carsim and Matlab/Simulink was used to build the simulate model. There is nooriginal four motorized wheels electric vehicle model in the Carsim software, so data exchangebetween Carsim and Simulink was used to model the motorized electric vehicle. The controlstrategy was built in the simulink also. After the establishment of the simulate mode, the control strategy was evaluated in the modelrunning result, which proved the control strategy is useful in the vehicle steering stability andanti-slip function.
