In-wheel motor vehicles is an important branch of pure electric vehicles,it has a series of advantages of pure electric vehicles,compared with the ordinary vehicles at the same time,the ratio of the sprung mass and the non-sprung mass has changed which makes the vehicle's driving process will be different,this change affects the comfort of the passengers and vehicle's driving characteristics.So,it is necessary to study the various changes caused by the change of wheel hub quality and to analyze how to optimize the various parameters by adjusting the parameters of the suspension system.This article used a certain type of wheel motor driven car as a parameter source,change the form of the suspension which is a independent suspension with a double trailing arm before and single trailing arm back.Build the 3-D model to test the riding comfort and steering simulation analysis and optimization.The article made detailed simulation analysis and optimization for the vehicle's riding comfort,study the influence of vehicle riding comfort under certain conditions with different quality of wheel hub,by giving hub motors of different quality to change the vehicle's the ratio of the above spring mass and down spring mass.Through the analysis of 1/4 suspension system model find out the affecting parameters,by adjusting these parameters to optimize the vehicle riding comfort,reduce the changes caused by wheel hub quality's growing.The article studied the vehicle steering characteristics,and also made simulation analysis and optimization,the main research parameters are steering radius and rolling angle.Simulate and analyze the effect of rolling angle and the steering radius caused by different quality of wheel hub.Optimization of the steering characteristics has done by adjusting the suspension stiffness and damping,tire stiffness values.Then we got the optimal curves and collected the data into a sheet.It is concluded that which suspension system parameters can provide smaller steering radius and smaller steering rolling angle.The last chapter summarized the conclusions drawn in each chapter,and explains the shortcomings of this study.Through the process of this study,it is found that the increase of the wheel motor quality and the change of the vehicle sprung mass and the non-sprung mass does affect the driving characteristics of the vehicle.By adjusting some parameters of the suspension system,these effects can be reduced and improve.
