| The face gear drive is formed by cylindrical gear and face gear. It makes the intersectional oralternative drive. Because of its high rotational speed and heavy-load applications, the research ondynamic characteristics of face gear drive is especially important. This paper presented one kind offace gear with elastic blocks based on the idea of gear web with elastic elements. The torsionalvibration of face gear drive with elastic blocks was analyzed and the dynamic experiments wereconducted. The conclusion was proved to be correct and it also laid a foundation for the engineeringapplication of the face gear drive.Firstly, the calculation method of meshing stiffness of face gear drive with elastic blocks wasstudied. The tooth form of face gear was analyzed by graphical method. The calculation method oftooth stiffness of face gear was analyzed by material mechanics. And the tooth stiffness of face gearwas obtained. Comparing the result of analytical method with the result of finite element method, thecalculation method of the meshing stiffness was proved to be correct. Then the synthetic meshingstiffness of face gear drive and the influencing factors of meshing stiffness of the face gear drive withelastic blocks were analyzed.Secondly, the dynamic characteristics of face gear drive with elastic block were analyzed. Duringthe analysis, the elastic block was considered as spring-damping structure. The dynamic model of theface gear drive with elastic blocks was set up. And the dynamic characteristics were analyzed bynumerical integral method. Comparing the result of the face gear drive with elastic block with theresult of ordinary face gear drive, the face gear with elastic blocks was designed according to theregular conclusions. So that the elastic blocks could improve the dynamic performance of face geardrive.Then, the test gears and the test bench were designed for the dynamic experiment of face geardrive. And the dynamic experiment was conducted. According to the structure of the face gear, theinlaid style of elastic block, the web structure of face gear and its axial positioning way were designed.The formula for torsional stiffness of elastic block was deduced. The design method of face gear withelastic blocks was formed. In addition, a test bench was designed for the dynamic experiment of facegear drive. The experiments of the ordinary face gear drive and the face gear drive with elastic blockswere conducted. Comparing the experimental results with the theoretical results, the relative errorbetween them is minor.Finally, the analysis software of torsional vibration of face gear drive which was based on elasticblocks was developed. It makes the parameterized analysis of torsional vibration of face gear driveachieved. |
