Aircraft Condition Monitoring System (ACMS) is an advanced data acquisition and processingsystem on the plane. The ACMS collect all kinds of data on the plane which are sent by AircraftCommunications Addressing and Reporting System to the ground station, or recorded by on-boardrecording devices. On this basis, the aircraft carried the condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, healthmanagement, etc., can identify the possible problems and safty issuses timely, also it can reduce theunplaned mantenance events, which will improve the fight safty and aircraft utilization.Aircraft control system is an critical system for controling the airplane attitude, and its functionis normal or not, directly determine whether the aircraft flight safety and flight delays and dispatchreliability. In this paper, I research condition monitoring and fault prediction method for the flaps/slatsof aircraft control systerm based on the Quick Access Recorder(QAR) data related to the flaps/slats,combined with the manufacturers technical manuals and field experience. on the one hand, it exploreseffective ways to manage existing health civil aircraft flight control system in the engineering, on theother hand, it provides technical serves for the development of China’s domestic civil aircraftintegrated health management system.Firstly, this article studies the composition and working principle for the typical modern civilaircraft control system, and focuses on the working principle and some common fault of the flaps/slatsin detail.Second, deeply analyzes the entire process of the flight data acquisition, recording and decoding.the process of flight data acquisition, recording device, recording of the flight data recording formatsare described in detail. And focus on flight data decoding, gives all kinds of typical examples ofdecoding. And a decoding software design was carried out.Then, study the specific implementation of the aircraft control system flaps/slats conditionmonitoring and fault identification, a a specific implementation process is given based on the analysisof existing flaps/slats system monitoring data, combined with the fault isolation manual fault list.Research on the analysis process beginning with the fault characteristic values then to the analysis offlight data, and research on the application process form the flight data eigenvalue to the systemcondition. Take the flap open too fast/slow failure as example, describes the specific application ofthe process. monitoring parameters and the main fault which are the key point of the entire flaps/slatscondition monitoring and fault identification are depth studied.Finally, carry out the study of the failure time prediction methods based on the QAR data. Take the flap asymmetry failure as example, choose the angle difference between the left and right flaps aseigenvalues for the degenerate characterization of the system. Use the exponential smoothing methodand ARIMA models for fault prediction, The two forecasting methods are meticulous researched,, andimplement most of the process by MATLAB to facilitate automated processing.
