Monitoring and fault diagnosis technology develops quickly in recent thirty years. Its purpose is going to prevent and reduce accidents. It only needs less fees for maintenance but can ensure equipments running safely. So we can get more economic benefits.The project includes two parts: one is condition monitoring and fault diagnosis intelligent maintenance system designed for oil extraction equipments. The system adopts the technique that data acquisition board is jointed to the EPP (Enhanced Parallel Port) interface of computer, and then the board and the computer can communicate each other. The system has some functions, such as monitoring oil extraction equipments online, signal processing and fault diagnosis. Finally it realizes the function of intelligent tour inspection for oil extraction equipments. The other is condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system for machine equipments. The system can be operated independently without computer or communicate withcomputer by the wire or wireless network. Moreover it has a storage board to save data and multiple functions of signal processing real-time. There are multi-modes for data acquisition. It is a reformation that equipments are maintained from break-down maintenance to prediction maintenance through the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system. Therefore equipments can be used longer than before and maintained through the methods of intelligence and science.The settings of hardware and the analytic functions o f software are expatiated in this paper according to above two systems. The hardware adopts domestic data acquisition board and the data acquisition system of imc Corporation in Germany. The software adopts OPP (Object Oriented Project) technology. In Widows XP platform two systems are programmed with Visual Studio C++ 6.0 and Visual Basic, which are visual senior program languages. The systems are based on modules, including data acquisition module and analysis modules and so on. Data acquisition module can get data of signal, such as temperature, pressure, voltage, and so on. Analysis modules are based on COM (Component Object Module), including time domain, frequency domain and time-frequency domain. The software have some analytic functions, including time domain wave, frequency domain wave, wavelet, rain flow for fatigue analysis, order tracing for rotary machine, and so on.
