This thesis introduced the research of the morphing wing and the flexible skin at home andabroad, and proposed a honeycomb structure composite skin that could satisfy the requirement ofcontinuous smooth and large deformation. A calculating expression of honeycomb structure in-planetensile deformation is analyzed based on the model of “Y”. In addition, this paper conducted finiteelement simulation analysis of tensile experiment with MSC.Patran/Nastran. The method of makingCellular structure composite skin samples was designed. Meanwhile, the experiment of samplepreparation and tensile deformation test were conducted. The error comparison between experimentaldata and simulation results is less than10%.The result showed the correction of the simulation modeland the large deformation capacity of honeycomb structure composite flexible skin.Secondly, this paper analyzed thermodynamics model, reply way, heat treatment and the triggermode of Shape Memory Alloy (SMA). The composite materials driven interlayer of embedded shapememory alloy wire and the flexible skin cellular structure of embedded driven interlayer weredesigned. Cellular structure flexible skin deformation performance test experiment was completed.Through this experiment, the time of the free ends on skin samples realize3mm deformation in theexciting current of2A/3A is431.4s/12.6s and86s/23.6s, the maximum deformation angle in thecurrent of3A are5.1°and8°.In addition, the new flexible skin,which was produc ed with theimprovement method and driven by the hot air, can reach31.13°and46.88°.Finally, the test interlayer is made based on Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor. According to theresult of finite element simulation analysis, the tensile experiment of cellular skin specimen was made.The non-uniform strain condition and layer failure process of skin tilt cell wall during stretchingprocess was proposed. The result showed that: in the process of stretching Y axial, repeatedexpansion behavior was existed. The spectral performance was vibrating and splitting around theinitial center wavelength range. In addition, this paper made an experiment of cellular active skindeformation process. The result showed that the deformation of the4th honeycomb cell wall level ismorethan that of the2dn one, and each of the deformation is174μ and233μ.
