Research On Design Of Event Memorial Spatial Sequence

Memorial materialized human emotion of history, can unite all forces in society and thewhole nation，which is an enduring building type in human history. With the improvement ofliving standards, access to knowledge more diverse, the memorial effect of the detailexhibition content in memorial began to weaken, while the audience demand for rich spatialexperience began to increase. Faced with this change, the nowadays memorial design moreemphasis on creating a commemorative space, especially in the design of spatial sequences,because compared to the exhibition content, spatial sequence can lead the audience to a richspatial experience and association through well-organized scenarios, to make the expressingof memorial theme more appealing. In this context, the study of spatial sequence designstrategy is very necessary.compared to the others the design of event memorial is more focused on the themeexpressed by the sequence space, because the scenario changes in space sequence can be agood echo of historical events. The event memorial has relatively abundant spatial sequencechanges and relatively obvious reaction of design intent, so studding design of memorialspatial sequence with the event memorial as the object is most effective and valuable.The main method of the article is to get large number of cases information through fieldresearch and literature data collection, and through case studies, summarize the commonspatial sequence design strategy. The article is broadly divided into three parts:The first part is the basic knowledge, including the first two chapters, the1st chapter isintroduction, which gives the background information of research, formulates researchframework, providing foundation for subsequent studies: The2nd chapter is the summary ofspatial sequence of event memorial, which introduces the development process and basiccharacteristics of spatial sequence of event memorial, providing the basics of research topicsfor further research.The second part is the case study, including the3rd and the4th chapters, which dissertcases respectively on the site and building two levels of event memorial. The main idea ofstudy is to embody the spatial sequence design into organization of unit space， then summarize the design strategy of spatial sequence by analyzing the organization of unit spacein different spatial sequence type.The third part is the experimental design, including the5th chapter, which mainlymakes a design practice by a integrated use of design strategies summarized in the secondpart, and further tries other new possibility of spatial sequence design.
