Training automobile simulator is teaching equipment for the purpose of training drivingskills. It provides training services by simulating the action of driving and the whole trainingenvironment. As a new way to train diving skills, training automobile simulator has theadvantages such as convenient in using, efficiency in training and low in cost. This paper aimsat the shortages of the domestic training automobile simulator, studied the key technologies oftraining automobile simulator such as dynamic simulation technology, scene simulationtechnology and training system technology. Based on the Unity3D game engine, this paperdeveloped a training automobile simulator with versatility, rich training function and highimmersion.First, Based on the OOT, the vehicle dynamic system was abstracted the vehicle dynamicsystem and divided it into several parts, then propose the frame of the vehicle dynamicsimulation model. Analyzed the theoretical knowledge and experimental data of vehicledynamic system and established the mathematical model which can simulate the dynamicperformance of vehicle components in all conditions through mathematical modeling, curvefitting, etc.Secondly, proposed the ideas of the parametric control of the vehicle dynamicssimulation model, analyzed the basic performance parameters which decided the dynamicsperformance of different vehicles and open them as the interface. Established the parametriccontrol system and achieve the parametric control function of the vehicle dynamics simulationmodel. Write the vehicle dynamics scripts with C#language based on the mathematical modelof vehicle dynamics system and simulate the action of driving in the scenes of Unity3D.Buildthe speed performance test scenes, test and evaluate the speed performance of the virtualvehicle.Thirdly,based on the study of scene simulation technology, established the virtualtraining scenes with Unity3D scene editor, provide compliant training courses. Use the C#scripts to establish the scene control system, manage the scenes and control the elements ofthe scenes.At last, design and establish the training system based on the analysis of the virtualteaching methods. Training system collects the driving data of the virtual vehicle throughvirtual sensor and judge the performance of the students based on the exam specifications.Then, the training system will provide guidance in images and audios and help the students topromote their driving skills. The vehicle dynamic simulation model established in this paper has good smulationperformance,real-time computing performance and versatility. As a result, the program canrun smoothly in low-profile computer. Studies of this paper has provided a theoretical basis ofTraining automobile simulator, and the training automobile simulator established in this papercan provide rich teaching content and efficient training function.
