This paper carries out research work relying on the scientific research project of Gansusegment of Shitian Highway and studies the asphalt concrete pavement. Due to the interactionbetween asphalt and aggregate is the influence factors of asphalt mixture structure formation,and it is directly related to the structural strength of asphalt mixture, temperature stability,water stability and a series of main performance. It also has a great influence on the asphaltconcrete pavement service life. In our country, the early diseases of asphalt pavement arerelated to the interaction between asphalt and aggregate. So in this paper, the interfaceadhesion of asphalt and aggregate is the main research object. Research on adhesion ofasphalt with aggregate was carried out.Process of interfacial interactions between asphalt and aggregate include the followingaspects: moistening with asphalt on aggregate, adsorption of asphalt on the surface ofaggregate and formation of interfacial adhesion between asphalt and aggregate.This paper uses water-boiling method to evaluate the adhesion among serpentinite,limestone and asphalt. It calculates the adhesive work between asphalt and aggregate based onthe development, research and utilization in engineering community of theory of surfaceenergy. This paper uses adhesive work as the quantitative characterization of the adhesionbetween asphalt and aggregate, uses contact angle among water, asphalt and stone as thecharacterization of ability of anti-water damage of asphalt-aggregate bond interface.. Itpoints out the advantages and feasibilities of using theory of surface energy to evaluateadhesion compared with evaluation methods of adhesion in current codes. Finally, this paperput forward suggestions for the improvement of asphalt and aggregate adhesive measuresfrom the Angle of the raw material surface,based on the research of asphalt and aggregateadhesion factors.Fine aggregate plays an important role in asphalt mixture, while current codes onlyincludes test methods of adhesion between asphalt and coarse aggregate, without test methodsof adhesion between asphalt and fine aggregate. Therefore, this paper tries to study on theevaluation of adhesion between asphalt and fine aggregate from the point of boiled asphaltmixture peeling mass loss method and fine aggregate asphalt mixture residual shear force ratio method. Through experiments, fine aggregate surface condition (surface textureroughness, specific surface area, etc.) is the decision of fine aggregate and asphalt adhesionand the main factors affecting water stripping resistance.
