Intelligent transportation system is an important direction for future developmentplanning of transportation, vehicle license is an important identification and proof of vehicles,its quicklyidentificationby high-speed computers is one of the Intelligent TransportationSystem important technologies. LPR has practical significance in vehicle management,transportation security and maintain public safety, reduce traffic congestion, trafficmanagement to achieve modernization and automation. With the rapid development ofeconomy and society, to maintain rapid growth in the amount of motor vehicles, trafficcontrol and management, toll collection system requirements are also increasing, forachieving security and intelligent traffic management it is the main direction ofdevelopmentto make the license plate recognition technologymore efficient, more intelligent.Currently there are a lot of organizations are actively involved in research into thedevelopment of license plate recognition technology, but it is used in the classical frameworkof its current license plate recognition system by four steps: image acquisition, license platelocation, character segmentation, character recognition. Based on the currently four-step wayinto the practical application of license plate recognition system power consumptionconsumption in these areas, speed and accuracy are still insufficient.The two-dimensional bar code is one kind of the bar code technology, has followingadvantages:dense encoding, storing large amount of information, high error correctioncapability, fault tolerance, wide range of encoding, decod ing the correct rate, etc., These barcodes have been widely used in many fields, but application of license plate recognition inthe field of domestic related research has not yet commenced. Firstly, by analyzing thecurrent license plate recognition system to verify its shortcomings; then clarifies the conceptof two-dimensional code, the development process as well as classification, then focusing onthe process of encoding and decoding QR(QuickResponse) code of conduct explain; later inthis article show the various problems of the current license plate recognition methods andcombines the advantages of two-dimensional code, carried out some exploratory studies,two-dimensional code that license plate recognition method combining the traditional license plate recognition, and designed a new license plate with the QR code; Finally, test thevalidity of new license plates and its recognition system designed to achieve the desiredeffect, achieve a new way to use technology to achieve the two-dimensional code licensePlate Recognition.
