In recent years, with the rapid development of society and economy,transportation industry expanded dramatically, the ability to run on the highwaypropose higher requirements. To accommodate this change, gradually widening theexisting highway pavement to two-way eight-lane, ten-lane, to some extent, whichgreatly enhance the capacity of the highway. However, lane widening of the highwayis still used in the past mixed run mode, only a limited capacity to improve roads, andcan easily lead to accidents, reducing road capacity. If we can access the proportion ofthe number of vehicles on the basis of different types of lane allocation management,and according to result of forecast about traffic to induce vehicles, we can furtheroptimize the lane utilization, and improve operating efficiency highway. Adopted lanemanagement of this paper will largely enhance the capacity of the road.(1)The use of a exponential smoothing, BP neural network and wavelet neuralnetwork to predict traffic flow, and empirical mode algorithm and wavelet neuralnetwork convergence were presented, and before several prediction models werecompared to verify the two by fusion algorithms predict accurately with advantage.(2)It analyzes the freeway multi-lane traffic flow characteristics, and useTransModeler software to build daily traffic model under different times, differentmodels and different speeds, using established the model about Xi’an-BaojiExpressway to simulation, and gives a two-way eight-lane, in the proportion whichthe ratio of what type of passenger transport business model adopted.(3)The predicted results and multi-lane management mode sent to the client viaa communication device that guides the driver to select a reasonable route to avoidheavy traffic, to improve the capacity of the highway has great practical significance.
