Work on the development of a ship propeller performance shipping industry plays a vitalrole,research method of propeller is divided into test method and theory method. Comparedwith the experimental research method, theoretical research method because of its shortcycle, low cost and can satisfy the engineering precision becomes the focus of research onpropeller performance. With the rapid development of the computer, the test methods ofresearch from theoretical analysis, extended to the CFD calculations for better performancepropeller designed to provide a powerful tool and methods.Propeller open water efficiency is a major factor affecting the performance of its ownwork. This paper studied the theory of complex system modeling and multidisciplinaryoptimization, This paper studied the theory of complex system modeling andmultidisciplinary optimization, and established a matching relation and optimize relationbetween ship-machine-propeller.Through the software to study the partitioning method forgrid3D modeling and watershed propeller; analysis of the open water propeller thrust,torque, when the open water efficiency and blade pressure distribution; at the end of thepropeller parameters are optimized by particle swarm optimization algorithm, the propelleropen water efficiency is increased by11.36%, the ship main engine fuel oil saves10.22%.In general, the work related to the following:1. Study on the theory of complex system modeling and multidisciplinary optimization,analyses the relationships among the ship-machine-propeller, and the establishment of theship-machine-propeller matching optimization relationship.2. The propeller in3D modeling and grid division method is studied; with senior in Pro/edrawing commands to draw propeller type value point curve, and then with the boundaryand mix to form blade, finally complete the propeller of the three-dimensional modeling; InGambit by tetrahedron grid and hexahedron mesh complete calculation domain of large andsmall watershed of the grid partition.3. Synoptically introduced CFD calculation issue to consider as well as the general steps,using the Fluent software analyzes the propeller open water efficiency; Propeller is studiedunder different into the coefficient of thrust, torque and efficiency of open water, and thecalculated results with the test results, it is concluded that the feasibility of this method isapplied to engineering.4. Studied under different into the coefficient of pressure distribution regularity of propeller blade; with the increase of blade back pressure, high pressure area from the wizardand expand and gradually become an average; propeller leaf area of the high pressureappearing in the leading edge and trailing edge, and the pressure decreases.5. Analyzed the influence of propeller open water efficiency, the key parameters ofparticle swarm optimization algorithm, based on the Matlab tool on propeller open waterefficiency of parameter optimization, and the particle swarm optimization algorithm theoptimal solution of (efficiency) and the numerical simulation of solution is2.54%, andcarries on the calculation of the optimization results, make the host fuel savings of10.22%,prove the feasibility of optimization method and the effectiveness of the optimizationresults.
