Marine engineering equipment is the general term for all kinds of equipment used in the development,utilization and protection of oceans.It is the prerequisite and basis for marine economic development.High-tech ships are high technical complexity and high-value characteristics,which is the important direction of transformation and upgrading to promote China's shipbuilding industry.Marine engineering equipment and high-tech ships are at the core of the marine economic industrial chain,promoting the development of marine engineering equipment and high-tech ships,which lead to promote China's shipbuilding industry restructuring and upgrading,to speed up the pace of building the world's shipbuilding the inevitable requirement of the State Oceanic rights and interests,to speed up the development of the oceans to protect the strategic transport security and promote sustained economic growth and increase labor force employment of strategic significanceAt present,the screw propeller is the marine engineering equipment commonly used in ship propulsor.When the ship sailing at low speed,the control performance decreased significantly.The reason is that the transverse force produced by the rudder is related to the speed of the ship.When the ship passes through the strait,returns to the harbor or approaches other ships,it can only sail at low speed,which causes the transverse force of the rudder to become smaller and the decreased maneuvering quality of the ship.The essential difference between a cycloidal propeller and a screw propeller is that the thrust direction is different from the propeller rotation axis relative position:the rotation axis of the screw propeller is at the same direction with the thrust,But the rotation axis and the thrust direction of the cycloidal propeller are perpendicular to each other.The scale of thrust determined by the propeller rotation speed,thrust direction from the blade angle.Cycloidal propeller doesn't have the main thrust direction,so as to make up for the propeller defects.In this paper,the working principle of the cycloidal propeller is introduced,and the parameters of the hydrodynamic performance of the cycloidal propeller are studied.Based on the reference of the cycloidal propeller of Voith,the parameters of the new cycloidal propeller blades and propellers are designed,The CFD calculation of the open water performance of the propeller was carried out by Fluent software,and the results were compared with the experimental results of?The theoretical calculation method of the cycloidal propeller)).According to a France tug,a new suitable set of molded line for cycloidal propeller are designed,the resistance characteristics of the ship are studied by using fluent.The resistance curve and the distribution of the wake field are also given for further self-propulsion test and analysis.According to the above,a self-propelled aerodynamic model test is carried out to analyze the propulsive performance of the self-propulsion,and the characteristics of the thrust deduction fraction,the wake fraction,the hull efficiency and the relative rotative efficiency are given,which provides important theoretical and data basis for the further study of the cycloidal propeller.There are three innovations in this paper:(1)Based on the analysis of the working principle of the cycloidal propeller,a new cycloidal propeller(including the blade and propeller parameters)is designed,and the CFD modeling and calculation is carried out with reference to the basic form of the existing cycloidal propeller.The results show that the open water performance is better than that of?The theoretical calculation method of the cycloidal propeller?,and its thrust coefficient and open-water efficiency are higher than those of the model experiment.(2)Based on a France tug,a suitable set of molded line for the installation of the cycloidal propeller was designed,and the CFD modeling and calculation was carried out to obtain the resistance characteristic curve.(3)The numerical simulation of self-propulsion test was carried out for the first time to study the numerical simulation of self-propulsion test method.The curve of propulsion performance characteristics,wake fraction,thrust deduction fraction,hull efficiency and relative rotative efficiency are calculated,which laid an important foundation for the further study of the cycloidal propeller.
