Intelligent traffic service system is an important part of Intelligent TransportationSystem. It can provide a variety of transportation services information for managersand travelers through getting real-time traffic information on intelligent transportationplatform.Its main function is to provide dynamic real-time traffic information anddrive route planning to provide a reference to the public,so it can avoid trafficcongestion effectively and improve the utilization of the road.Based on an in-depth understanding of intelligent transportation systems indomestic and international developments,combined with the actual situation ofdomestic urban traffic roads, this dissertation develops the intelligent transportationsystem with the help of Web services applications.Firstly, analysis of the whole systemincluding works,characteristics,classification and composition,etc.and on this basis ithas a demand analysis and make the function which need to be implementedclear.Then,detailed analysis of two key function modules including real-time trafficwhich based on map and dynamic path planning and practical examples of itsimplementation is given.Finally,the development of technology and the whole designscheme is introduced and each function module is analyzed and the design of thedatabase is completed in the design of the system.The code implement of systemfunction bases on a development environment and the display and the test of system isgiven in the realization of the system.Be different from traditional map-based application system, it through therealization of the improved A*algorithm combined with real-time traffic road to planthe travel route, the results show that the scheme can provide better travel route whichthe travelers need, reduce travel congestion and improve the utilization of the road.
