Research On Ancient Village Of Dai Wei In The South Of Fujian Province

The Dai Wei settlement is taken as a research object in this paper, which processwith its own unique occurrence, development, and basically preserved the traditionalstyle. It is a traditional settlement that constructed with the combination of naturalconditions and human environment. It’s also a physical interpretation created by thetraditional way such as "suit one’s measures to local conditions","obtain raw materiallocally","make materials useful" and so on. Besides, the settlement is a masterpieceof designing, creation and construction of living space by the people who livde in thebottom of the society. Therefore, the research of it is helpful for the excavation ofconstruction thought and method of traditional settlement and buildings. which isgood for the absorbing and application of the shining wisdom in it, for upholding ofthe traditional architectural culture. The research has important theoretical value andpractical significance.According to the field investigation and field survey for Dai Wei, the paperanalyze and summarize the history of settlement site, the settlements layout, themorphological characteristics of architectural space and residential constructionexperience. Firstly, from the Dai Wei social life, economic conditions, customs andhistorical trajectory and other aspects of the settlement of information, the dissertationdiscussion the general situation of the settlement for the further understanding oftraditional settlement.
