Pulse generator is a new kind of pulsed power supply based on energy storage andenergy transformation, and has a high energy density and high power density. Withelectromagnetic emission energy increases, the required pulse power energy storage andpower is also increasing, which requires a pulse generator with a larger size and speed.However, it is difficult in the design and manufacture of large generator and reliabilityis not guaranteed. Cascading multiple generator modules work, consisting of modularinertial energy storage power, both to meet the high energy electromagnetic emissions,but also reduce the difficulty of single motor manufacturing, and the flexibility to adjustthe pulse current waveform. Modular power supply will certainly bring new problems,such as how to conduct a reasonable matching parameters, determine the number ofmodules; in series and parallel modules, how to synchronize control. So this paper isspecified in the aspects of e modular design approach and synchronization control.Firstly, this article explored self-excitation process and the compensation principle.Generator mathematical model is established based on the principle of synchronousgenerator. And on the basis of the establishment, a modular Simulink simulation modelis established. Inductance is obtained by finite element method. Establish generatormechanism analysis and simulation models provide a foundation for the study of thenext.Modular power supply matching design study, by matching the objectives andconstraints analysis, and to determine the number of matching motor module; bymaintaining a constant linear velocity of the rotor, the design method of the generatormodule is to get. In this study, based on ETCG based load, given a matching designprocess instance, demonstrate the superiority of the modular power supply.Synchronization control studies analyze the series and parallel topology. Throughthe selection of a reasonable connection, modules avoid the circulation betweenmodules; reduce the impact on the power supply. This paper studies the causes andhazards of nonsynchronous modules based on4.5MJ generator modules.Synchronization control based on this proposed strategy, laying the foundation forfuture synchronization control system design.Muzzle kinetic energy of32MJ shipboard guns to meet military needs, to drive theguns, on the basis of the aforementioned studies, we design a modular power solutions,artillery simulation model based on pulse generator drives the track, its dischargesimulation analyze the impact of different control strategies of the current waveform.Modular power increases the complexity of the connection; the paper discusses therelationship between performance and power coaxial cable length for this. Studying of this subject provides a theoretical basis for the design of modularinertial energy storage power and synchronization control. This study has a greatsignificance on power to actual combat.
