With the development of the society and the deep implementation of strategy ofenvironmental protection, the construction industry meet the new challenge in recent years. Theapplication of green energy-saving building applications and new building structure graduallybecome the mainstream of the industry. The research team using thin-walled steel and bamboo asthe main material put forward a variety of steel-bamboo composite component. This paper designand make reconstituted bamboo-steel composite beam with I-section and synthetic analysis itsmechanical behavior by static loading test of21root composite beams.The content of this research takes following four parts: first, mechanical properties test ofreconstituted bamboo and thin-walled steel. Determining the shear strength, elastic modulus andpoisson ratio by select some reconstituted bamboo specimens. Study on elastic modulus, poissonratio, yield strength and tensile strength of thin-walled still by some still specimens, thedetermination of these parameters is the foundation of theory analysis. Second, study thesymmetrical bending capacity of the composite beams under concentrated load by testing on9composite beams. Summarizing the deformation feature and failure characteristic of compositebeam, deducing the formula of bending capacity of cross section and deflection. Third, Exploreshear performance of composite beams by test on12reconstituted bamboo-steel composite beams.By setting the composite beam shear span ratio (λ=0.8,1.5,2.0,1.5), study the influence of thedifferent shear span ratio on composite beam failure pattern; Analysis Influence of reconstitutedbamboo web thickness variation, reconstituted bamboo flange thickness variation, steel platethickness variation and section height thickness variation on composite beams shear bearingcapacity and deformation characteristics. Calculate the flexure deformation and diagonal shearstrength through the theory analysis. Finally, simulate the stress, strain and deformation ofcomposite beams by using finite element analysis software.Research shows that the variations of reconstituted bamboo flange thickness, steel platethickness and section height thickness are closely related to the flexural behavior of the thin-wallsteel-reconstituted bamboo composite beams, improve the properties of bamboo can preventdeformation development.Test of shear behavior show that poisson ratio have great impact onbeams’ failure mode, variation of reconstituted bamboo flange thickness have litter contribution onshear behavior. In summary, the mechanical properties of the two materials of the thin-wall steel- reconstituted bamboo composite beams are full played under the stress; Reasonable assembly ofreconstituted bamboo and thin-wall steel gives the composite beams good composite behavior,ductility properties and deformation property; As a new type of green energy-saving components,composite beams have a broad application prospect, can realize industrial production with itssimple making process.
