| City exhibition park is an important part of our national horticulture exposition, the best stage to display and promote the image of the city. Taking the Changsha exhibition park of horticulture exposition during these years as research object, we use the method of internal text study and external cultural study cultural in imagology theory to analyze image of Changsha exhibition park. Though describing the landscape image, excavating landscape prototype and interpreting regional culture, we extract the image type and image performance practices of Changsha exhibition park so as to offer theory and reference value for building the representive Changsha urban landscape. The conclusions are as follows:(1) From the six aspects of human spirit, geographical features, the ancient streets of memo ry, heritage, star city characters, ideal home to summarize the image of Changsha exhi bition park of horticulture exposition.(2)The landscape images of Changsha Exhibition Park in various horticulture expositions can be divided into6types:the south birthplace of Neo-Confucianism and the cradle of truth; nature geography pattern of Changsha; the ancient city, ancient charming and ancient legend; valuable historical relics of Changsha---lofty character; a brand new Changsha; ideal living environment of Changsha---cultural spiritual homeland.Yuelu Academy’s rigorous scholarship, Yuelu giants search up and down and Yuelu man cares about the world and dare to be the first, we use these three kinds of spiritual essence to analyze the image of south birthplace of Neo-Confucianism and cradle of truth.In terms of image of nature geography pattern of Changsha, it mainly includes Xiangjiang River, Liuyang River, Orange Isle as well as Yuelu Mountain. As for ancient Changsha, it can start from memory of ancient city well and streets. When it comes to valuable historical relics of Changsha, it derives from priceless historical sites and relics and folk exquisite craft, that is, Tongguan Kiln; Jian Du (a kind of Chinese literature form); Xiang Embroidery; bamboo and bronze; chrysanthemum stone. A brand new Changsha begins with the description of scenic spots characterized by this Star City. The image of ideal living environment of Changsha stands for local citizen’s expectation for idyllic lifestyle. (3)As to techniques of expression applied in landscape image of Changsha Exhibition Park, it can be reproduction, refining, landscape narrative as well as metaphors and symbolism.Reproduction is about the imitation of architecture and scenes; refining contains the extraction of elements about historical relics, folk culture, urban characteristics as well as historical literature; landscape narrative is closely related to the narrative of vision, naming, experience and metaphor; metaphor and symbolism have something to do with the metaphor and symbolism of spirit as well as context.(4) Changsha garden landscape image summed up as:the ancient city, the cradle of truth. |
