With the large numbers and various types of distributed generations ormulti-microgrid integrated into the grid, the dispatching instructions is difficult toperform quickly and efficiently due to the technology, economy and other reasons, thenthe centralized dispatching is hardly to adapt to these changes. Therefore, this paperstudies the coordination operation of microgrid from a wide range of complementaryway. A coordinated dispatching architecture and dispatching strategies for themulti-microgrid is proposed, and an economic dispatching model is also established,which coordinates the operation between microgrid and microgrid or grid. Through theproposed method, the economy of multi-grid is improved and the dependence onenergy storage system is reduced.In this paper, the main contributions are listed as following:First, based on the intelligent interactive technology, a new idea for the optimalscheduling of multi-microgrid is proposed. According to the operating characteristicsof the distribution network and microgrid, the artificial intelligence technology isadopted to achieve the exchange of information and the interaction of energy betweendistribution network and microgrid. Therefore, a wide range of complementary way isused to stabilize the uncertainty of multi-microgrid output.Second, considering that each microgrid is not only independent but alsointerrelated in multi-microgrid, a coordinated dispatching architecture formulti-microgrid is put forward, which is composed of the microsources coordination,microgrids coordination, and multi-microgrid interaction with distribution network.The coordination between microgrid and microgrid as an important part of thearchitecture, it can coordinate the output of each microgrid by the power supply anddemand of each microgrid. Based on the coordinated dispatching architecture, thedifferent period coordinated dispatching strategies are proposed for peak, flat andvalley periods of a day.Then, according to the mathematical model of different micro sources, aneconomic model with the objective of minimum total cost is established. Based on thecoordinated dispatching architecture for multi-microgrid, the particle swarmoptimization (PSO) algorithm is adopted to solve the model.Finally, the renewable energy power generation and load demand of microgrid are simulated. In addition, the optimization results for the single microgrid or thecoordinated microgrid with or without considering the energy storage system arecalculated. The results show that the coordinated dispatching of microgrid is moreeconomy than the alone dispatching.In this paper, the coordinated dispatching architecture and dispatching strategiesfor the multi-microgrid are analyzed and researched, and when it is applied to themulti-mircogrid, the economy of microgrid operation can be improved. It ismeaningful for the integration of microgrid into the distribution network orderly tosome extent.
