With the more series and larger scale of hydropower system of power stations,the function of optimal dispatching of cascade hydropower stations is becoming more and more obvious,the optimal scheduling of cascade hydropower stations is a necessary way to realize the maximum benefit of hydropower management system,it is also a primary task is to guarantee the power system security and stability.Therefore,the urgent problem to be solved is that how to allocate hydropower resources of cascade hydropower stations more reasonably and optimally.At present,the long-term optimal operation of cascade hydropower station are mostly used in the biggest power model,the minimum total energy generation model,the maximum total energy storage model for research,without considering the situation of water reservoir optimization goals.In this paper,the characteristics of the water in the flood and non flood periods of the cascade hydropower stations during the one year scheduling period are discussed,According to the operation characteristics of cascade hydropower stations,different long-term multi-objective optimal operation models of cascade hydropower stations are established from two periods of flood season and non flood season respectively,strive to make full use of hydraulic resources,so as to carry out reasonable scheduling,in order to make cascade hydropower stations to be able to abandon water during the flood season,it is possible to increase the output and reduce the abandoning of water;In the non flood season,we should try to strive for reservoir filling,so that we can maintain high water head and sufficient water volume in the dry season to generate electricity,so as to improve the utilization ratio of water and reduce unnecessary water abandoning,to ensure that cascade hydropower stations have the power to compensate for the whole power system during the dry season,increase the economic benefits of hydropower stations,and provide a new research idea for short-term optimal operation of cascade hydropower stations.The long-term optimal operation of cascade hydropower stations which is a typical high dimensional,nonconvex,nonlinear optimization problem,in this text,the multiobjective model is transformed into a single objective model by the interactive decision method,considering the constraint conditions,the steps of particle swarm optimization and unified optimization based on multi-swarm PSO algorithm and cuckoo search algorithm are detailed.By calculating a real case of hydropower stations from Hanjiang River valley,compareing with calculation results of single and multi objectives model,particle swarm optimization and unified optimization based on multi-swarm PSO algorithm and cuckoo search algorithm,the feasibility and effectiveness of improving the multiobjective model and unified optimization based on multi-swarm PSO algorithm and cuckoo search algorithm are verified.
