With the development of our society and economy,the passenger carmarket is becoming increasingly booming,and people’s demand for passengercar is growing day and day,meanwhile higher and higher petitions are askedby customers,all which require each car manufacturer and supplier not onlyto increase production capacity but also to improve the performance ofautomobile and its parts.As the key part of chassis,suspension system playsan important role in car’s driving safety,reliability and performance,and it isalso the study topic of modem auto design.The Twist Beam suspension iswidely using in class A and class A0car because it has simple structure, lowcost, and a lot of advantages in the kinematical.In this paper,Taking a torsion beam rear suspension of Intermediatepassenger car for the study,It is analyzed by using of numerical methods forthe torsional stiffness,roll stiffness and suspension motion characteristics ofthe suspension.And on this basis the vehicle of the coupled model isestablished. First of all,make a brief description of the background ofsubject.Under the situation of rapid development of automobileindustry,China’s auto industry has also ushered in the unprecedented favorableopportunities.Meanwhile,cars are more and more extensively accepted by massChinese people,and Chinese automotive industry and Chinese automakersshould be greatly quicken the steps of developing,strengthening independentresearch and development capacity,in improving yield,While also Pay moreattention to quality.Secondly,review the development process of the twist beam suspension,and summarize the research results of the rear suspension,made thepreparation work to for this dissertation writing to achieve targeted.There are some kinds of factors Which influence the suspensionstiffness.For twist beam suspension,the main factors are the stiffness ofsprings, bushings and the beam.The First two factors could be confirmed bychoosing the springs and bushings,and in this dissertation,the main analysis isthe third factor.This paper made more systematic analysis for the torsional stiffness of the torsion beam,and got the torsional stiffness of the torsion beam suspensionmathematical model by numerical methods.Based on this,It is derived that theroll angle torsion beam suspension stiffness mathematical model.Subsequently,the torsion beam rear suspension beam section parameterization, the use ofnon-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm Elitist(NSGA-II)on the roll anglebeam stiffness and the total mass of the suspension were optimized.According to the results of optimization a torsion beam rear suspensionbeam three-dimensional model is established in solidworks and in the finiteelement software make it flexibility to get MNF neutral file,Finally,theestablishment of rigid rear suspension coupled model in ADAMS/CARsoftware,hardware reasons due to measurement points, bushings and springsand other parameters, the suspension model initially created some errors mayexist even wrong,and therefore need for model calibration and verificationmode, eventually forming dynamics model can accurately reflect the realvehicle suspension characteristics.After the suspension was subsequentlyestablished a rigid torsion beam coupling model of vehicle simulation test itstypical operating conditions, and to evaluate the operational stability of thevehicle.
