In this experimental study,PVC-U and castiron single stack drainage systemswith different drainage tee and bottom elbow were tested for drainage properties.Aftercomparison, the drainability of different combinations was obtained.And this studysummarized how the different drainage tee and bottom elbow affected the drainagecapacity.The12-floor drainage testing device is the researching object in thisexperiment.Flow control valve is used to control a four-floor discharge water.Thewater is discharged in turn from the top according to different flow rate in order tosimulate the worst drainage condition.The pressure sensors are used to measure theinstantaneous fluctuant value of pressure while the water level gauges are used tomeasure the changes of water seal in every trap during the drainage.This paper mainlystudied the following two aspects:Firstly,the drainage capacities of oblique and sailing tee PVC-U single pipesystem with double45-degree elbow and90-degree curvature adjustable elbow weretested and analyzed contrastively.The results showed that the drainage capacity withoblique tee was larger than it with sailing tee.And the vacuum suction effect of systemwith90-degree curvature adjustable elbow was more obvious than system with double45-degree elbow.In oblique tee PVC-U single pipe system,the drainage capacity wasthe same with two different elbow,and both were3.0L/s.In sailing tee PVC-U singlepipe system,the drainage capacity with with90-degree curvature adjustable elbow wasless than with double45-degree elbow.The former was nearly2.5L/s,while the latterwas2.5L/s.Secondly,the drainage capacities of oblique and sailing tee castiron single pipesystem with double45-degree elbow,90-degree curvature adjustable elbow and90-degree elbow were tested and analyzed contrastively.The results showed that thedrainage capacity with oblique tee was larger than it with sailing tee.In oblique teecastiron single pipe system,the drainage capacity with90-degree curvature adjustable elbow was the same with double45-degree elbow,and both were3.0L/s..In sailing teecastiron single pipe system,the drainage capacity with90-degree curvature adjustableelbow was less than with double45-degree elbow and90-degree elbow.The formerwas1.75L/s,while the latter two were2.0L/s.
