With the fast development of the portable electronic products, the high performan-ce and low cost power management solutions have drawn much attention. Among them,Buck DC-DC is one important type, which is widely used in the electronic equipments. In this paper, a Buck DC-DC XDJ1301is designed according to the Buck DC-DCtheory research. It is of high efficiency, and it uses the Bipolar process. It has theadvantage of wide input, adjustable output voltage. The voltage mode is adopted as itscontrol method. The voltage mode can respond to the output voltage change quickly. And it is of simple design structure. In this chip, the reference module adopts higherorder compensation to make reference voltage much more precise. Its temperaturecoefficient can be19ppm/℃. To protect the circuits, current limit module and OTPmodule are designed. The current limit module is to make the inductor current no morethan4.5A. The OTP module can shut down the circuits when the temperature is toohigh.XDJ1301is based on the EPISIL2um Bipolar process. The circuits are verified bythe simulation tool—Cadence. The results show that XDJ1301meets the prospectdesign specifications with different loads. Its efficiency can be82%at most.
